Two thousand years after the Heresy, the Imperium's hard-won recovery is nearly undone in a single generation. An Ork warlord of unmatched cunning unleashes an invasion so enormous that it dwarfs every greenskin tide before it and brings the horde to the very threshold of Terra. The Imperium survives, but only barely, and the comfortable belief that no enemy could ever threaten it again dies for good.
