The Aeldari's appetites curdle into something deadly. Over centuries of decadence their collective desire pools in the warp until it wakes a new dark god: a birth so violent that it kills the heart of their civilisation in an instant and tears a vast wound in reality that endures to this day. A scattered few escape aboard world-sized vessels; most are lost. It is one of the great catastrophes of galactic history, and the moment the fourth great power of Chaos enters the universe.
